Collaborative and fun Piano Lessons for children & Teenagers

Lessons for children aged 6 years +

Weekly piano lessons

We offer 45-minute lessons and 1-hour lessons.

All of our lessons are taught in pairs.

Students at Collaborative Keys are paired with a partner of similar age and level. They learn by playing the piano and receiving personal guidance from their piano teacher, as well as through observing their peers. We teach using a traditional method and also include fun musical games and theory activities.

Learning alongside their peers, students receive private instruction at an acoustic piano as well as time during the lesson to do a combination of theory and observing their partner playing the piano. Students may also use the digital piano available to practice straight after receiving feedback during their lesson.

Why Partner lessons?

Collaborative Keys grew from a vision to give children and teenagers a positive start to music education through sharing their experience with a partner of similar age.

Unlike many other instruments where you often join a school band and join ensembles, piano is often seen as a solo instrument and private lessons can be an isolating experience for some children. That's why our students explore music in pairs and learn piano side-by-side. They support each other, gain insight on how others practice at home and regularly have the opportunity to play duets and play in front of others.

Children learn best when they're having fun and feel supported by their peers. The aim is to keep them engaged with music by having fun!
